Sertifi Steps out for Hurricane Relief
Stepping for a Cause
On Thursday, September 21 2017, the Sertifi Team laced up their walking shoes and stepped out to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. For every mile each Sertifi employee walked, money was donated towards hurricane relief funds. The walkers started out at our office in Chicago’s River North, cruised down Lakeshore, and made their way to The Happy Camper in Old Town for some post-walk pizza and pints!
While the Sertifi Team loves any opportunity to get together for some quality time, food, and refreshments- this time was particularly special because we were able to do so for a cause that is near and dear.
Sertifi Customers are Family
When a tragedy such as a devastating hurricane strikes, it’s the responsibility of those who are able to help out where they can. Nate Peplinski, Sales Development Rep at Sertifi says, “Coming together as a team for such an important cause really exemplifies the spirit of Sertifi. Everyone on the Sertifi Team felt deeply for those affected by the hurricanes.”
Among those affected by Hurricane Irma and Harvey were some of our valued customers. At Sertifi, our customers are cherished members of our company family. Knowing the difficulties and devastation that many of them have gone through these past few weeks, we felt compelled to extend a helping hand to the communities that they live in and love.
“Above-and-beyond customer service is Sertifi’s top priority,” says Kevin Benham, Customer Success Manager at Sertifi. “Recently, a handful of our customers have been going through something we in Chicago can’t even imagine. Our hearts go out to them during this difficult time.”
Funds for Food Banks
The money raised during Sertifi’s walkathon was split evenly between organizations benefiting Harvey and Irma victims. We are allocating 50% of the funds raised to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and the remaining 50% to the Houston Food Bank.
