Business Challenge
delivery.com sought a new way to get merchants quickly onboarded into their ordering system that reaches nearly a million customers daily. The process involved local merchants signing one-page applications in order to sign up with delivery.com. Also, outside sales reps struggled with onboarding new merchants.
The traditional paper-and-pen method for getting agreements signed and stored was slow and labor-intensive. Upon receiving signed agreements, reps would scan a copy to then manually upload into Salesforce. delivery.com needed a mobile solution that integrates flawlessly into Salesforce so reps could capture in-person signatures on tablets and store signed agreements automatically.
Sertifi Solution
delivery.com originally implemented an eSignature solution for client applications, which had multiple small set-up and integration fees that added up to larger monthly bills. These costly bills inspired delivery.com to seek out an eSignature solution with a simplified fee structure that eliminated piecemeal charges.
delivery.com chose Sertifi for its flexible and customizable Salesforce integration and hands-on approach of personalizing the solution to fit business needs. In addition, with Sertifi there were no support fees saving thousands of dollars. Inside sales uses Sertifi to send, sign and track client applications directly within Salesforce. Outside sales utilizes a custom-built wizard using Visualforce Pages to collect and store merchant signatures and data within Salesforce.
The Results
With Sertifi for Salesforce, delivery.com gets client applications and merchant agreements signed and stored faster at a lower cost. “We are closing more sales now that our team can be focused more on merchant service rather than start-up paperwork,” said the Vice President of Sales at delivery.com. “It only takes 28 minutes on average to get an agreement signed now, which frees up 240 person-hours per month — gaining us an extra 30 days of productivity for the business by simply streamlining paperwork.”
The new signing process exemplifies the ease of doing business with delivery.com. delivery.com sales reps no longer deal with printing, scanning, and faxing. For the merchants, this convenient onboarding process fits into their busy day. They can quickly sign up on a rep’s tablet and start growing their business right away!
