What is your role at Sertifi and tell me about your day to day?
I’m a DevOps Engineer. Right now, we’re focusing on auditing the pipeline. The Infrastructure and DevOps team is looking for ways to clean up, improve, and automate the pipeline. I’m not on the daily deploy side of things, but focusing more on what we can improve and automate.
What is your proudest moment at Sertifi?
I suggested that we start a weekly DevOps meeting. When I started, we really didn’t have one outside of the other daily stand-ups. So now we meet weekly to sync up, check-in, and discuss our checklists for the week.
What are 3 words to describe Sertifi?
Adaptable. Culture-focused. Personable.
What celebrity do people think you look like?
My hairstylist says I look like Ryan Destiny.
What advice do you have for prospective new hire candidates?
Sertifi is a unique office. As a new employee, you have to be adaptable. You’ll be asked to wear many hats, some more challenging than others, but you have to be willing to jump right in. I think that’s what makes my work so fulfilling.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m a big movie, specifically Sci-Fi, person. I love going to the movies with my son. The last movie I saw was Invisible Man, which was really good. I also LOVED the new version of Emma. I highly recommend renting both while at home. And, I’m a basketball mom, so my life really revolves around going to basketball games.
What tv show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
Pretty much everything Bravo. I know I shouldn’t love it, but I really do. I love it! It’s one of those things you can watch and just zone out. When you have a really intense job and you’re a parent, it’s so nice to have something you can enjoy and have with a glass of wine. I highly recommend Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Below Deck, and/or Below Deck Med.
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Gosh! I would most definitely tell my 13-year-old self that it’s okay sticking to the things you actually enjoy. Stay with it!
